Beyond Academics: Social and Emotional Learning in STEM Education

Do we recognize that as early as K-2nd grade introducing students to project based learning empowers them to be more equipped for success? Participants will examine an actual case study from the presenters’ perspective as an After School Program Leader through a Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math “STEAM” Restaurant Management Project. The case study provides insight into overcoming the social and emotional challenges K-12th grade students can face while working in teams.
